Welcome to Folklore Journeys. The customers’ use of the website, services, and tools are governed by the following terms & conditions (“Terms of Use”) that include the applicable policies incorporated by way of reference and constitutes a valid agreement between customers and Folklore Journeys.

All correspondence(s) in respect of tours / travel services should be addressed to Folklore Journeys. Any usage of the website is subject to the following Terms of Use:

Limitation on content usage:

If there is a hike in the cost of entrance fees of monuments / museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Government of India, after the finalization of the tour/ service, the higher price would be charged.

Folklore Journeys acts only in the capacity of agents for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways and contractors providing services. All exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets issued by us are subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by the agents.

All itineraries provided by Folklore Journeys are the sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the possible schedule of a trip. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, and the physical ability of the customers may influence the change in an itinerary either before the tour or while on the tour. Folklore Journeys reserves the right to modify any schedule in the interest of the customer’s safety, comfort, and general well being.

The rates of the travel packages are based on the rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. However, hotels and airlines have the rights to modify the rates without any prior notice. In such cases, the rates quoted before the modification can be changed by us in accordance to the modifications by the hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check-in and check-out time of the hotels unless mentioned otherwise in the itinerary.

We do not have any insurance policy that covers the expenses of accident, loss due to theft, sickness or any other reason. Customers are responsible to make their insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property at all times are also at the customers’ risk.

You are restricted from copying, modifying, distributing, reproducing, publishing, displaying, licensing, transferring, creating derivative works from or selling any information or services obtained from this website. Reproduction of content from the website is strictly prohibited, against which copyright notice can be issued.

Folklore Journeys may claim for damages and/or a criminal offence in regards to unauthorised use of the website. One has to bear the consequences arising out of the breach of any of the terms & conditions mentioned above. Further Folklore Journeys reserves the rights to modify and delete any of the contents without a prior notice to any person.

Customers availing ourservices have to acknowledge that Folklore Journeys will have the right of indemnification for any loss that may be caused to us for any misuse of the website. The company has all the rights to approach the appropriate court of law for enforcement of such rights.

It shall be the customers’ obligation to ensure that their passports are valid and eligible for undertaking international travel. Folklore Journeys will not be liable for passport being declared ineligible for entry/exit during or prior to undertaking international travel.

Force Majeure:

Folklore Journeysz does not take any responsibility for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, accident, sickness, breakdown of machinery or equipment or transport, flight cancellation, unfavourable weather, landslide, political closure or any untoward incident. We also do not take any responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to any person or property in any of the above mentioned circumstances or any other causes beyond our control.

Payments:

All the services and certain advance payments should be made to confirm the booking with us. The balance amount can be paid either before your departure from your country or upon arrival in India. The payment has to be made before the commencement of the services in every case. We hold the right to decide the amount to be paid as an advance payment depending on the nature of the service and the time left for the commencement of the service.

In some cases – special train journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season (Christmas, New Year), advance full payment has to be made.

Mode of Payment:

Overseas advance payment can be made through Wire Transfer to our bank account.
